How to Send Using the Bitcoin Method

Akojeh Melina Updated by Akojeh Melina

With a platform like Sendcash, you can send money to Nigeria using Bitcoin, and your recipient will receive the funds directly into their Naira account without having to interact with Bitcoin.

Amazing, right? This can be done in four easy steps. Let's get started:

Step 1: Install/open the Sendcash app.

Input the amount you would like to send, and click on "Send cash" to proceed.

Step 2: Input the recipient's details

If you're sending to a saved recipient - Select the recipient's name and click "Continue". On the next page, select which of their bank accounts you want to send to or enter a new one. You can also enter a transfer note here. Once you're done, click "Continue" to proceed.

Do not include any words related to Cryptocurrency in the reference section!
Step 3: Select the "Bitcoin" Option
Step 4: Send BTC to the wallet address displayed to complete your transaction.

When you choose the Bitcoin payment method, we’ll generate a wallet address linked to your recipient’s account. Copy the BTC equivalent of the amount you want to send as displayed and the wallet address.

Payments can only be made to Naira accounts on Sendcash. Payments to Dom accounts will not be processed.

Head over to a crypto exchange app of your choice, e.g. Coinbase or Binance, to send the BTC to the copied wallet address.

That’s all! Your recipient will receive the Naira value of your BTC transfer once it is completed. Payments are completed within 1 - 2 hours.
